Below is the basic format and layout of my Front Cover. By using Miscrosoft Publisher I will be able to reproduce the A3 sized cover - the space dedication is clear as the image will dominate the whole page.
And here is the layout diagram for my double-page spread. The text of the article will begin on the front page and then continue into a detailed piece of text on this spread. (There will be subsequent promotions and adverts/related articles on the pages as well).
Overall, these diagrams have enabled me to have a greater sense of direction as I continue the planning of my production piece. With reference to these plans I need two main, scandalous images for the front page and the body of the article along with a smaller image to embed in the text. Furthermore, I need to plan the promotional offers and the images/text required for the two smaller articles (one on the front cover and the other on the double page spread).
